he U.S. Mission to Nigeria includes the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos serves as the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian populace in the southern region.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: 48 hours per week

Job Summary
The U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, is looking for eligible and qualified applicants for the Warehouse Worker position within the General Services office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Foreman, the incumbent will perform manual supply duties in the warehouse, including unloading incoming supplies, office furniture, and household equipment. The role involves moving property from the receiving area to authorized storage locations and confirming storage details with the receiving supervisor.
  • The incumbent will maintain cleanliness and safety in the storage areas and assist in inventory management.
  • It is essential that all job activities and duties are performed responsibly to prevent safety or health hazards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of prior work experience in the supply or warehouse sector is required.

Job Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in forklift operation and vehicular driving is essential.
  • A solid understanding of warehouse storage and property handling practices is necessary. Please address this in your ERA application under Major Duties and Responsibilities.

Skills and Abilities:

  • The incumbent must be capable of performing moderately heavy work and lifting weights of at least 20 kg.
  • Strong communication skills are required to engage effectively with customers.
  • A valid Class B Nigeria driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Adherence to safety regulations is essential.
  • A good understanding of local road laws, as well as the Embassy’s safety protocols and regulations, is required.
